Welcome to Little Spider Friends!
Hi! My name is Angelo, and I’m 10 years old. I started Little Spider Friends because I love jumping spiders. They are cool, curious, and really interesting little spiders.
My goal is to help jumping spiders find good homes and teach kids that spiders do not have to be scary. Jumping spiders can bite if they feel like their life is in danger, but most of the time, they would rather run, hide, or jump away. I want people to see how friendly and amazing they can be.
My favorite part of having jumping spiders is bonding with them. You get to name your spider, say hi to it every day, and watch it get used to you. Some spiders may even start to recognize you. When you are brave and ready, you can try holding your spider gently. Most people do not realize how smart jumping spiders are!
At Little Spider Friends, I want to provide jumping spiders, safe supplies, enclosures, and terrariums that are made for jumping spiders. I also want to help other kids and families learn how to care for them.
I believe kids should be able to have pets because pets keep you company and teach responsibility. Jumping spiders can be great pets for kids because they are easy to care for, do not take up much space, and are affordable.
One cool fact: jumping spiders are not insects. They are arachnids! Another cool fact: sometimes they can jump backward, too!

What is a Bioactive Terrarium?

I want to tell you about something really cool for jumping spiders called a bioactive terrarium.
A bioactive terrarium is like a tiny living world inside your spider’s home. Instead of just decorations, it has real things like soil, moss, plants, and tiny cleanup bugs (like springtails). These little helpers clean up waste and keep the enclosure healthy all by themselves!
It’s kind of like making a mini jungle for your spider

I like bioactive terrariums because they make spiders feel more at home. In the wild, jumping spiders live around plants, dirt, and natural stuff, not plastic.
